Fantastic support for '200km for 200 years' smashed the target distance by an extra 100km!

Stormy weather failed to dampen the spirits of over sixty pupils and friends of Creavery Primary School, as they braved the wind and rain to take part in a stormy Antrim Park Run.

'200km for 200 years' kicked off Creavery's bicentenary events and saw everyone from new Primary One pupils, right through to 'Iron Man' athletes coming together to make their steps count for Creavery! There were walkers in wellies, babies in buggies, pet pooches and Creavery's bunny mascot all taking part for the first time, while Beth managed to record a ‘Personal Best’ time, despite the challenging conditions.

Creavery's pupils were joined by their teachers, along with parents, past pupils from across the decades, extended family members, and retired teachers. The promise of a slice of well-deserved cake at the end ensured everyone made it to the finish line.#

Fantastic support for '200km for 200 years' meant that participants smashed the target distance by an extra 100km!

Creavery PTA would like to thank the volunteers from Antrim Park Run for accommodating their event and also, give credit to Charlie McAleer for the Park Run photos.
